Weather: below-zero lows, flurries in the forecast

Tuesday is mainly sunny with northwesterly winds at 20 km/h gusting to 40 and becoming light in the afternoon. A high of 11 C and a low of -4 C are expected.

Wednesday is warmer with mixed skies, a high of 14 C and a low of 3 C.

For Thursday, expect cloudy skies and a high of 16 C but the overnight low is -3 C with a 60 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries.

Friday is sunny with a high of 10 C and low of -1 C.

Mixed skies and highs of 8 C and 11 C are forecast for Saturday and Sunday.

So-called “normals” for early May are highs of 17 C and lows of 6 C.
