There will be intermittent lane reductions on Wellington Street between Granville Street and Huron Avenue from Tuesday to Aug. 17 but traffic will be maintained in both directions, along with access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Also starting Tuesday, Claymor Avenue will be closed between Falaise Road and Normandy Crescent until Nov. 30 for roadway improvements and to replace the sewer and water mains. Access to local traffic, cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained with signed detours in place.

Starting Wednesday, there will be intermittent lane closures on Innes Road between Orléans Boulevard and Jeanne D’Arc Boulevard until Aug. 28 for repaving. Westbound lane closures will happen between 9 a.m .and 3:30 p.m. and eastbound closures will occur from 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Cycling and pedestrian access is maintained.

And don’t forget: the Alexandra Bridge is closed to vehicles — but not pedestrians or cyclists — overnight on weekdays and round-the-clock on weekends until Aug. 11.

The repairs are underway from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays and from 7 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Monday on weekends, Public Services and Procurement Canada said earlier this week. The schedule may change depending on the weather and how work progresses.

Finally, Friday is the last day that OC Transpo has free disposable masks available.

The transit service made masks mandatory for most riders in its stations and vehicles as part of its COVID-19 response starting June 15 and said the measure will continue “until Ottawa Public Health advises otherwise.”
