One of John Wayne Gacy’s surviving victims, Jeff Rignall wrote a book titled “29 and Below” that details his encounter with the serial killer, as well as his quest to bring him to Justice. I’ve been aware of this book for a while now, but it’s been out of print for many years. The only available copies are around $250, and as interested as I am, there’s no way I’m going to shell out that kind of money for it.
I’m a bit on the fence about it, as the few reviews that I have read on it have been mixed. One reviewer described it as having a lot of filler and being poorly written. Another review described it as being “dreadful.” Has anyone on here actually read this book? How much detail does it go into regarding the attack and the aftermath?
